Inchworm (or Stick)?

Look what we found in the backyard this afternoon?

I tried to encourage Annabelle to take him to the backyard where we found him so he could rejoin his family. She didn't agree, and she dumped the little booger on a tree root in the front yard.

She liked him at first, but then she complained that he was hurting her!

And, he was quite amazing. When he became scared, he would stand completely still with his head and body in the air and feet attached to Annabelle's arm. He looked exactly like a tiny stick!

I actually had found him hanging from her hair while she was swinging in the backyard, and when I first saw him, I thought he was a tiny piece of something that had fallen from the tree. I even left him there for a few minutes until I realized that he was an inchworm.

Learning is experiencing the daily wonders of life (including inch worms)!

Just like her Mommy. Next thing you know she'll be out in the yard digging earthworms just like you use to do. Yuck! She didn't get that from me. Cute picture anyway.
