Where's Daddy?

Here is a conversation I had with Annabelle during breakfast this morning:

Annabelle: Mommy, where's Daddy?

Mommy: He's at work sweetheart.

Annabelle: To make me some money?

Insert snicker from Mommy. And, then, she continued before I could answer her.

Annabelle: To put in my piggy bank.

Mommy: Um, no, not exactly.

She's a girl after my own heart! She wants her Daddy to make money for her to put in her piggy bank! That's my girl!

Although, honestly, I do believe in working for my own money and not "spreading the wealth." I think we are going to need to talk in a few years before she slides down the wrong political path, but she's right on target with my methodology for saving!

And I liked how she said when she got home she was going to put the money she had found (on the street?)in her piggy bank, along with her paper money. (The money she had just spent on a toy that took her almost or more than an hour to pick out.) At least she holds on to it and enjoys it a little while before she finally gives it up, huh?
