Fun at the Park Again

It was again another beautiful day, but this blog entry is actually not about today. On Tuesday, February 12th, we had another gorgeous day in the ATL (around 68 degrees F), so I took Annabelle to the park once again as I knew that Wednesday was to bring with it more cold weather.

So, she enjoyed herself once again. The first thing she wanted to do was swing in the swing. Ironically enough, as soon as I put her in the swing and pushed her, she got a solemn look on her face. I may have gotten a few smiles here and there, but for the majority of the time, she just looked plain bored! She didn't beg to get down or anything, so I think she was happy with swinging, but could you smile a little bit Annabelle? Swinging is supposed to be fun, not a chore!

During this trip to the park, I remembered to grab my Kodak Easyshare camera from the car, so I was able to capture a few shots of my darling. I love this next picture of her swinging. Look at those beautiful blue eyes! And, do you see that sweet little birth mark? Oddly enough, even though it is considered a "birth mark," she wasn't born with it, and it instead made its appearance about a month or two later. At first, I was really worried that it would not go away (for her sake) as I was afraid that it would just get bigger and darker and that she would be made fun of all through elementary, middle and high school. But now, I hope it doesn't go away as it is so Annabelle, and I would truly miss that sweet and beautiful little birth mark.

As you can see, she played with some acorns and a stick. I'm afraid I do have a little tomboy on my hands. Oh well, what are you going to do? Here is hoping that she can do anything better than any old boy she comes across in her lifetime!

And, do you see her climbing the ladder to go down the slide? She's a resourceful little booger, isn't she? Look at her "carrying" her sippy cup in her mouth so that one hand is free to hold her sacred acorn and the other hand is free to keep her balance. Of course, I wouldn't let her slide down the slide without me. I don't think she's quite ready for that yet. She'd probably jump off the top being the daredevil that she is. And, yes, I did climb the ladder and slide down with her from the top.

We also practiced playing soccer, and I taught her how to kick the ball. She actually did kick it herself, and she continued to kick it. You go girl! Notice how she's still holding on to that acorn while kicking the ball. And, we are in a completely different area from the playground where she originally found the acorn. She gets attached very easily to little things she can hold.

Of course, our time on the lawn did not last very long as she became more interested in a deflated balloon hanging from a tree. She just pointed at it and started running towards it saying "Da Da Da Da Da." As I've mentioned before, she still calls just about everything "Da Da." Even me!

Very cute pictures, but then we do have a beautiful subject, don't we? I love when you add the pictures. And thanks for sharing the pictures from today so I could use them on my blog. We only duplicated each other once. Pretty good, huh?
