Well, this is obviously probably pretty boring to read now.
We started the bedtime ritual at 8:00 p.m. this evening. Annabelle's Daddy arrived home today, so we got started just a little late. I think I finally laid her down (after nursing) around 8:53 p.m. She cried for maybe 5-10 seconds, and then she stopped crying after I had left the room. She fussed just a little bit more before I had even been gone a minute but after she had stopped crying originally.
And, that was it. I am blogging this at 10:25 p.m., and she is still down for the count!
I am still in denial. I guess she was ready for this. I tried letting her "cry it out" around 9 months of age, but she was dealing with major constipation issues then, so every time I'd leave her, she would naturally get a bowel movement. I think maybe she just got so upset that I had left her. So, I felt awful for letting her "cry it out" when she was in fact in very much pain trying to get the bowel movement that I have not tried again until this week.
I finally have somewhat of a life again! Hallelujah!!!
