Annabelle was determined that she was going to make another snowman like we did together last year. Can anyone say stubborn?
She was on the verge of meltdown when hubby and I refused to go inside to get raisins to use for the snowman's eyes, but I gave in and fortunately was able to find some raisins.
Annabelle used a shovel to gather the snow. This snowman was never packed together during formation.

Hubby helped Annabelle add the raisin eyes which he apparently had a hard time getting them to stick.

And, of course, we cannot forget the final touch, a Tennessee hat (the same hat we used on our Tennessee snowman last year)! She did realize after we had gotten inside that Mommy was still wearing the snowman's Tennessee scarf, and she wasn't very happy about that, but she got over it fairly quickly.
And for the record, Annabelle designed this snowman all on her own. Hubby and I basically told her that a snowman couldn't be built this year, but she was determined. I'm not sure if she was more determined to build it or prove us wrong, but whatever the case, she got her snowman!

Poor little snowman! He/she looks more like a little Bison Sophie or a melting Polar Bear Express bear, but she did a beautiful job. I love that sweet look on snow?'s face. He/she could have been so shocked about having that Tennessee hat on its head. That would be frightening, shocking, etc.
Now if we can just make those "yankees" understand, it's not the SNOW, STUPID, and not totally you, you crazy yankee drivers, that makes us southerners so frightened. It's the black ICE we know is underneath the snow, STUPID!
And they just need to get over the attitude with us about closing schools at the drop of a snowflake. They are living in a very strange world if they believe we don't have televisions down here. We hear how they close their schools much more often than we do. First snowflake and all!
So there.I don't have any yankee friends living up there anymore and certainly no family, so I can tell it like it is.
Or, the last picture could be Santa disguised as a snowman?
Adorable,anyway
Oh, I confess that first post was not intended to be anonymous. It was totally me, Grandmomma. I proudly take credit for it. I just realized I forgot to put my name in the proper square.
That's how the snow was like in VA but we had 20+ inches of the stuff. Christopher laughed off the stuff we had. Rain boots work GREAT as snow boots too - just layer some socks.
Annabelle did a wonderful job with what runny snow she had to work with. I like her "Oh, I can do it! Watch me!" attitude - it's so much like Audrey. Go-getters! Is that a baby carrot she used as the nose?
