"Mommy, I cut your tablecloth with my scissors? Do you want to see?" Annabelle said to me this evening grinning ear to ear while we were putting her pajamas on.
"You did?" I asked. "Yes, I would like to see where you cut the tablecloth."
She leads me to the dining room, and in fact, she finds the exact spot where she cut my tablecloth.
"Uh huh," I said. "We don't cut anything besides paper do we? I guess Mommy needs to put the scissors away out of your reach?"
She told me that this occurred this morning. But, she waited until bedtime to tattle on herself with a smile on her face.
This child feels sorry for absolutely nothing! I dread my life in about 8-9 years!
She better be thankful it was a cheap plastic tablecloth that she felt the need to cut!

It is really hard to set limits on what a child can cut or write on when they are young. It will take a little time but they will learn little by little.
I cut my hair in the back when I was about 10 or 12 and looked funny for a while, so I never did that again.
I literally spit out my coffee (because I was laughing) when reading this!!!
Maybe Annabelle will be a fashion designer when she grows up...cutting fabric with that creative mind of hers...I wouldn't doubt it. I can see it now...the "Annabelle (Last Name)" collection!
Yikes. C just hides stuff that he messes up. Like pouring out a whole bottle of lotion or bubble bath. Then I find out later and ugh...
Scissors are only given out with supervision here after he cut my curtains. Luckily I could stitch them up and it didn't look bad.
What are we gonna do with C and A?
