That's a Jack-O-Lantern, that's an egg. That's a Jack-O-Lantern, that's an egg. That's a Jack-O-Lantern, that's an egg. That's an egg, that's a Jack-O-Lantern. That's a Jack-O-Lantern, that's an egg. That's an egg, that's a Jack-O-Lantern.
This is the conversation that my husband had with Annabelle this evening as he read her one of Richard Scarry's many words books. I couldn't stop laughing as Annabelle kept pointing at the same pictures over and over and over again, and it reminded me of what she had done to me (with the same book) just a few days earlier.
It was hilarious! And, I tried to grab the video camera to get it on video because it was so humorous to hear my husband repeat the same words over and over again. But, naturally, by the time the video camera was in hand and turned on, Annabelle stopped pointing to the same two objects. Of course, I still had him play it out for the video camera, but you know, it is never the same!

She was checking for consistency. She needed to know that Daddy really did know the answer. You remember in early elementary, everything was done by repetition. Daddy might not know so she had to be sure he had it down right.
