Fill my hands up

Annabelle ate a great dinner this evening, so I offered her some animal crackers for dessert. Her response was as follows:

"Fill my hands up wid bookies" as she held her two little hands together.

Pause

"Grandmama does dat."

Thanks a lot Grandmama!

By the way, for some reason, Annabelle just cannot say cookie. She pronounces it "bookie." We work with her by saying "ka, ka, ka, coo-kie" to get her used to the consonant sound. And, she repeats us perfectly until we say "cookie." She always responds with "bookie." I just don't understand it, but I suspect she'll correct herself over time. She did finally correct her mispronunciation of horse. It used to be "dorse," but now she finally says "horse."

Of course, these mispronunciations can drive an anal retentive Mommy nuts!

You're welcome. Anytime I can help out, I certainly try. No sense in having to keep opening that torn bag of animal crackers.

Oh, and I forgot...she's such a little tattletale! We really need to have a talk. She may lose some of her privileges if she doesn't watch out.
