N-O-W!

This afternoon, I told Annabelle something along the lines of, "Get inside N-O-W, now!"

Well, she quickly caught on to the spelling of "now."

She decided that she needed some apple juice, so she proceeded to tell me, "Get me some apple juice N-O-W!"

It cracked me up! Of course, I requested that she ask more politely while I snickered behind her back (probably more so to her face).

Then, she opened the screen front door at Grandmama and Granddaddy's house, called for her Daddy who was helping Granddaddy fix the roof in the garage, and said, "N-O-W Daddy! N-O-W!"

She obviously caught on very quickly that Grandmama and I found her very humorous.

What tickled me was that somewhat later she remembered the order of the letters. They weren't random at all when she repeated them. I know it's a simple word, but she's only 2 1/2 years old! I would have expected an A-B-C later, but not the N.O.W she came out with! Those three letters were burned into her little brain. Your days of spelling are very limited or even may cease to exit from this point forward!
