Potty Training Update - Day 4

So far, so good! Knock on wood, please quickly, knock on wood!

There were no naptime fiascoes yesterday. She tee teed in the potty three times during "naptime" while the potty was in her crib. Granted, she didn't take a nap, but she also did not wet the bed or a diaper either.

Today has also ended another successful potty training day with no accidents! Hurray!

And, we even went to visit with Grandmama and Granddaddy today. We drove the 20 minutes there and the 20 minutes back home again later in the day, and she held it both times. When we got to Grandmama and Granddaddy's house this morning, she filled that pot up too, so she was really holding it.

I keep telling her, "Your awesome!" She loves when I tell her that.

We even took a picnic with Grandmama and Granddaddy today at McDaniel's Farm Park. Since there aren't usually too many people there, she wore a dress again, and her bottom was butt naked. She used the potty three times during our picnic lunch.

After lunch, we walked around the park. I carried the potty with me just in case. I am sure I looked pretty funny to passerby's, but it came in handy as she needed to go potty twice while we were walking around the park.

When we've been in the car, I've been able to convince her that she needed to let Mommy hold her juice cup because she didn't want to have to go potty while we were in the car. She was fine with that, and normally, her juice cup goes right along with teddy and paci as her loveys.

On the way home this evening, we were several exits from our exit, about 10 minutes away from home, and she told me, "I need to go potty." I thought, "Uh-oh." But, there wasn't a good spot to get off, so we waited it out until we got home. Success again! We pulled the potty out and she tee teed on the front lawn in the potty, but she didn't wet on her car seat. And, honestly, she could have waited until she got inside, but her Daddy was mowing the lawn, and she wanted to show him that she could go tee tee in the potty.

The true tale will come when Annabelle can wear big girl panties and still go tee tee in the potty on her own and not wet herself. I have heard of several people having the same problem with potty training where the child is potty trained without clothes on but once the child starts wearing clothes, they instantly tee tee all over themselves. I don't understand it, but I certainly believe it because Annabelle had that same problem back in October.

I am so very proud of my little girl!
